I am an enamel artist based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have always loved creating, and appreciating, art in different forms. When I took my first enamel class with master enamel artist Marianne Goodell I was immediately infatuated by this beautiful ancient art form. I was mesmerized with how this medium allowed me to coalesce my experience with the arts of metalsmithing, drawing, and painting to create something truly unique.
I find inspiration in everything around me from nature to abstract concepts. My creative process is intuitive and exploratory, allowing ideas to evolve naturally as I work.
While the majority of my work is done in the cloisonné technique, I also employ the various enamel techniques of basse-taille, champlevé, plique-à-jour, and enamel paint.
